Installation Options

OBJECTIVE

The Installation Options option is used to view installed options. This option also lets you import or export a key.

Import a maestro* Key

To install additional modules or licences, the user needs a maestro* key, which is a file provided by Maestro.

 

Users do not need to quit maestro* to activate the new key.

  1. Copy the key file to your workstation and carefullt note the access path.
  2. Open maestro* and select the relevant company.
  3. Click on the Configuraton icon in the toolbar.
  4. Select Installation Options.
  5. In the Installation Options window, click the Import a Key icon.
  6. Select the file that was copied earlier (in step 1), then click Open.
  7. Answer Yes to the question “The items in bold will be added to your system when you click the save button. Do you want to save the new key now?

 

If you answer Yes, the key will be installed; if you answer No, no changes will be made to the software.

 

Once the key installed, you can delete the file that was initally copied on the workstation.

 

Install Options

Once the new key provided by Maestro Technologies imported:

  1. In the Options tree structure on the left of the window, view the different modules and options that are available in maestro*.
  2.  

    A check mark identifies the modules and options that are installed and are available to the user. A greyed out square indicates that some modules have not been checked.

    You must click on the + symbols to drill down in the modules.

    If the user cannot see the newly installed options, verify first that the security settings in maestro* do give you access permission. For the work stations where maestro* was open during the key activation, it will be necessary to restart the software to see the new options.

  3. On the right side of the window, view the maestro*MOBILE modules and licences, as well as the temporary maestro* modules.

      Standard Licences

      Number of Licences

      Specifies the number of permanent standard maestro*MOBILE licences.

      Expiration Date

      Specifies the expiration date of permanent standard maestro*MOBILE licences; after this date, these licences can no longer be used.

      Temporary Licences

      Specifies the number of temporary standard maestro*MOBILE licences (these licences are added to the standard maestro*MOBILE permanent licences).

      Expiration Date

      Specifies the expiration date of temporary standard maestro*MOBILE licences; after this date, these licences can no longer be used.

      maestro*MOBILE employee Licences

      Number of Licences

      Specifies the number of permanent maestro*MOBILE Employee licences.

      Expiration Date

      Specifies the expiration date of permanent maestro*MOBILE Employee licences; after this date, these licences can no longer be used.

      Temporary Licences

      Specifies the number of temporary maestro*MOBILE Employee licences (these licences are added to the permanent maestro*MOBILE Employee licences).

      Expiration Date

      Specifies the expiration date of temporary maestro*MOBILE Employee licences; after this date, these licences can no longer be used.

      Portal MOBILE Licences

      Number of Licences

      Specifies the number of MOBILE Portal licences.

      Expiration Date

      Specifies the expiration date of MOBILE Portal licences; after this date, these licences can no longer be used.

    3. Temporary Modules section: this refers to the maestro* modules or options offered to the customer so that they can try them out. The names of the modules or options appear in the Module column, with the description of each one next to it (Module Description column). The Expiration Date indicates when these modules will no longer be accessible. If the customer wishes to use them after this date, they will need to purchase them (or request an extension).
  4. In the section at the bottom of the window, view the information regarding the customer and the maestro* licences:

Customer

Specifies the customer number.

Customer Name

Specifies the name of the customer.

Number of Licences

Specifies the number of (permanent) valid concurrent maestro* licences, i.e. the number of users that can connect to maestro* simultaneously.

NOTE: Valid maestro* licences include maestro* licences that have not yet expired and temporary licences that have not yet expired.

Expiration Date

Specifies the expiration date of permanent maestro* licences; after this date, these licences can no longer be used.

Temporary Licences

Specifies the number of temporary maestro* licences that are provided to a customer for a certain period of time, so that they can, for example, test a new module or try to get other employees interested in using maestro*.

These temporary licences are added to the permanent maestro* licences already provided.

Expiration Date

Specifies the expiration date of temporary maestro* licences; after this date, these licences can no longer be used.

  1. Click the Quit icon.
